This high-resolution video features clips of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s LEED Platinum Research Support Facility in Golden, Colorado, including shots of natural daylighting enhanced by window orientation, directional louvers, and reflective surfaces; energy-efficient work spaces incorporating daylighting, LED task lamps, and power management systems; recycled materials, including natural gas pipes for structural support, composite sunflower seed countertops, plastic-bottle carpeting, waste granite-chip flooring, and beetle kill wood accents; triple-glazed operable windows with individual sunshades and time-lapse footage of dynamic electrochromic windows; and radiant heating and cooling through tubing underlying all floors of the building and ventilation distributed through underfloor ventilation system.
